"Nancy, my 7yr old daughter, has been attending this “film school” since September and she absolutely loves it! It’s an opportunity for her to let her imagination run wild, write scripts, act her ideas out with the group (having a previous history in drama) but also learn how to control the camera and the set! To watch her first ever short film “In A Pickle” that she wrote and acted in, in a real cinema was just brilliant! It’s such a great opportunity for the children and it’s a club like no other!!!!

Head of film
Cameron is a royal television society award winning filmmaker from Parr. He has a masters in filmmaking and alongside his passion for teaching he has created movies all over the world. He has a degree in acting and is passionate about sharing his skills with anyone who has wants to make or be in films!
"I started this film school in St. Helens because it's an offer I would have benefitted from as a young person. My priority is to create an environment for young people to explore who they are, in a safe, social, playful way - whilst learning filmmaking skills."

What is the Bronze Arts Award?
A 40 week course working towards a nationally recognised qualification that provides an industry-standard learnings for young filmmakers aged 11+.
Are we suitable for absolute beginners?
Yes every participant builds confidence and technical skills from the ground up.

Is the course in-person or online?
Both, all our live group classes are held in St Helens, Merseyside. We provide a premium, hands-on playful environment where students can work with real equipment.
1-1 sessions can be requested with Cameron online.

The Mission
Develop confidence in all aspects of our participants lives. One step at a time.
We want to raise the aspirations of young people in our town by offering the skills of filmmaking.
Fundamentally, filmmaking is about solving problems to bring ideas to life.
When participants see an idea that they had in their head play on the big screen, something magic happens, they are able to see that their imagination can exist, with the skills that they have learnt.
Whether they make films in the future or not, this is the basis for confident, creative and aspirational young people, something I believe our town needs.
